Golf Costa de la Luz

Spain’s Costa de La Luz is an excellent golfing destination throughout the year. It is attracting increasing numbers of golfers from many nations. The Costa de La Luz reaches down from the Huelva district near the Portuguese border toward Gibraltar and Tarifa in the region of Cadiz.
The Huelva golfing area is sometimes called the Andalucian Algarve. There are half a dozen courses in this naturally beautiful area. El Rompido, Islantilla, and Dunas de Donana, which was named after nearby Donana National Park, are just three of the popular and enjoyably challenging golf courses here. The terrain is mostly flat, so generally the courses can be walked. This is a protected area, so the courses have been designed to incorporate the natural beauty without being intrusive.
Two famous courses, San Roque and Valderrama, are in the southern part of Costa de La Luz. Over the years they have hosted many tournaments. But there are other courses nearby, and still more are being planned. Some of them will be resorts with hotel accommodation where visitors can enjoy their golfing getaway.
Professionals and amateurs alike come here in the off season to practice. The Sherry and Montecastillo courses, both of which are inland, are especially popular. The both have excellent hotel accommodations and practice facilities. These inland courses also have links with places like Costa Ballena with its 27 holes, hotel and spa facilities, great food, and beautiful Atlantic beaches.
The Costa de La Cruz, a quiet neighbor of the Algarve and Costa del Sol, definitely has a variety of courses for golfers to enjoy. Couples, families, and groups will enjoy exploring the Costa de La Luz with its great golfing and many contrasts.

La Canada Golf Course

The La Canada Golf Course is an appropriate tribute to the residents of Guadiaro who became golf enthusiasts overnight, thanks to the emergence of the Sotogrande. This full length Trent Jones golf course is beautifully located in the hills near Valderrama, where it is somewhat open to the wind. The long first hole sets the standard for a challenging round of golf. The fourth hole allows no view of the green until the third shot, and so is like a step into the unknown.
Address: Ctra. De Guadiaro 1 km. 11311 Guadiaro, San Roque, Cadiz.
